It's never too late to support the Huntington's Disease community

Huntington’s disease is a progressive condition that damages and kills brain cells, affecting movement, thinking, and emotions. Caused by a change in the HTT gene, symptoms typically appear between ages 30 and 35, but a more severe form called Juvenile Huntington’s disease can start as early as 18. Those with the disease may experience mood swings, irritability, and coordination problems due to changes in brain areas controlling these functions. Each child of an affected parent has a 50% chance of inheriting the gene. While there is no cure yet, education, awareness, and support are crucial in managing the condition and improving the quality of life for those affected.
